How Do I Find a Therapist Who is Right for Me?
Often the best way to choose a therapist is to use your instincts about what “feels right” in the first few interactions. For instance, do you sense that the therapist is seeming to “get you” and the issues you are bring to counseling? Is there a sense of give and take or does the interaction seem stiff or formal? We would be happy to answer any questions you may have and discuss any aspect of counseling when you make your first call.
Can I Use My Insurance?
We will work with you to optimize whatever insurance you have. Although we are not on any insurance panels, upon request we provide a receipt (with all the codes an insurance company will need) that you can provide to your insurance company. Many people stray away from taking care of their needs because it means dealing with insurance companies, but we have many patients who do this and most often it goes smoothly. We suggest calling your insurance company to ask: For mental health, what is the rate of reimbursement? How many sessions are covered per year? Ask them also about the process of submission.
